Natrona County Conservation District

Conservation trees sales are over for the 2012 season.  NCCD sold over 3,200 trees for living snow fences, wind breaks and riparian restoration.  Our next ordering season will begin in November 2012, so check back then to order for delivery in the spring of 2013.

2011 ANNOUNCEMENTS!

 

On November 3, 2011, Wyoming Water Development Commission recommended a Level I Watershed Study for the Middle North Platte River Watershed.  The 2012 Wyoming State Legislature approved the expenditure of $250,000 to be allocated to study the watershed and design a 20 year watershed plan for the Middle North Platte River Watershed.  Please see the Level I Watershed Study page for more information!


On November 10, 2011, Wyoming State Department of Environmental Quality, Water Quality Division, approved $735,000 for Natrona County Conservation District to implement Best Management Practices  within Natrona County to improve the health and quality of the North Platte River and its tributaries.  Please see the TMDL Implementation Plan page for more information on this grant.
